Dr. Artur Carandell
Facial surgery · Aesthetic medicine · Barcelona · Bahrain
Dr. Artur Carandell is a facial aesthetic surgeon based between Barcelona and Bahrain. His practice covers the full range of facial rejuvenation — facelift, deep plane facelift, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, deep neck lift, ear surgery, hair transplant, and aesthetic medicine — and his patient base spans both markets. He holds membership in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. Those credentials aren’t incidental to the brief. They’re the exact positioning a European-trained specialist needs when patients in the Middle East are deciding whether to travel for surgery.

The brief.

The challenge was specific: build a single site that could speak credibly to two audiences — European patients in Barcelona and international patients in Bahrain — without feeling like a compromise for either.
That’s harder than it sounds. Patients in the Middle East researching a European surgeon for facial work are making a significant decision. They want precision, credibility, and the kind of visual language that signals a practice operating at the level they’re considering. They’re not looking for the same signals a Barcelona patient is. European patients are already in the surgeon’s home market — they’re evaluating expertise and trust through a different lens.
The visual expectations are different. The trust signals are different. The way patients research a surgeon before making contact is different. A site that splits the difference poorly ends up serving neither audience well. The brief was to find a visual language and a structure that worked across both markets — not by being neutral, but by being specific in a way that carried across cultures.
There was no existing brand to build from. Logo and website both started from scratch.

What was built.

The identity.

The logo is a monogram — the surgeon’s initials, AC — designed to be immediately recognisable and to work across both markets without carrying cultural specificity in either direction. Clean, precise, and distinctive without being decorative.
The visual language was developed by the studio through market research and in conversation with Dr. Carandell. Magenta was chosen as the primary accent color — distinctive in the aesthetic medicine space, where most practices default to neutrals or clinical whites, and specific enough to give the brand a clear identity across both markets. The overall visual direction balances contemporary precision with warmth — the clean lines and right angles that signal modernity without coldness.

The website.

The site covers the full scope of Dr. Carandell’s practice: facial surgery across rhinoplasty, facelift, deep plane facelift, blepharoplasty, deep neck lift, ear surgery, hair transplant, and fat transfer, alongside aesthetic medicine procedures. Each procedure has its own dedicated page — built for patients who arrive knowing what they’re looking for and want to understand why this surgeon specifically.
The site runs in English and Spanish. The language choice reflects the dual market reality — English as the primary language for Bahrain’s international patient base, Spanish for Barcelona.
The design is built around negative space, clean lines, and a deliberately lightweight layout. The visual logic is that a surgeon specialising in facial refinement should be presented with the same precision he applies to his work. Photography introduces the surgeon directly — clear, well-lit, specific. The before/after gallery presents results without sensationalism.

Every decision in this project came back to the same question: what does this specific practice need to say, to these specific patients, in a way that neither audience has to translate.
